    Coping with Short-Staffing

Nurse staffing levels have been directly linked to patient outcomes in a number of recent research studies.  In addition, the lack of adequate staffing is one of the most common reasons that nurses cite for leaving employment or seeking a new job.

Efforts are being made to increase the number of nurses at the bedside, but a shortage still exists and is likely to for the foreseeable future.  Therefore, nurses will continue to battle staffing shortages in one form or another throughout most of their career.

In the web-based seminar (webinar) “Coping with Short Staffing,” David W. Woodruff, MSN, RN, CNS, CEN will discuss methods for keeping safe and sane during times of staffing shortages.  In this webinar you will learn:

    • What staffing shortages mean to your patient
    • How staffing shortages affect you and your peers
    • 10 strategies to manage short-staffing

If you work in a fast-paced environment that is full of stress, then this webinar is for you!  David will share proven strategies with you to help you to analyze, prioritize, and implement better care during staffing shortages.

In this webinar many questions will be answered; questions such as:

How do I protect my patient, my employer, and myself when staffing is low?
What can I do to better handle these stressful situations?
Who can I turn to for help?

And many more will be answered.
