Career Opportunity: Continuing Education Program Developer – Rehabilitation Professionals

We are a dynamic nonprofit organization currently looking for a Continuing Education Program Developer – Rehabilitation Professionals to play a key role in ensuring the growth and success of our rehabilitation healthcare market. The Continuing Education Program Developer’s primary responsibility will be to ensure that we continue to explore fresh and exciting ideas around clinical practice and help in developing continuing education courses and events. This person will develop strong relationships with the thought leaders in our field, keep a sharp eye on new developments and important conversations in healthcare and seek out new voices whose distinct perspectives and approaches deserve to be highlighted for our growing audience of rehab professionals. With their deep knowledge of the field this person will assist in finding creative ways to shape the ever-evolving “story” of healthcare.

We are looking for a high energy talented person with a passion for the field of healthcare and experience as a practitioner. The person in this position should have outstanding relationship-building skills and a marketing mind. Leadership and project-management skills are also a must, as is the ability to collaborate effectively with our team.

Overview the Business Development Team:

All continuing education program developers are responsible for identifying and evaluating opportunities to develop new CE programs for professionals that are both relevant and exciting therapists to attend, learn and grow in their profession.

Additionally, this role involves building relationships with expert speakers, trainers, and authors in the field, assisting them in the design of seminars and online courses, developing clear marketing strategies and compelling sales copy, and collaborating with a small, close-knit team of professionals who have a passion for health education. This is a team of experienced business-minded professionals with whom you will grow and expand your knowledge by collaboration and innovation.

What You Will Be Doing: (responsibilities)
  • Help guide the vision and growth of our organization in the rehab field.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends, techniques, approaches, topics, developments, and voices in the rehabilitation field, including physical therapy.
  • Collaborate with our team to create compelling seminars, courses, and training programs that rehabilitation professionals will find useful and want to attend.
  • Create data-driven direct mail and digital marketing campaigns through writing compelling sales copy and determining key target audiences.
  • Work with our team to help grow our rehab audience through innovative ideas for content distribution and marketing.
What You Bring to the Team: (skills and requirements)
  • At least 5 years’ experience as a physical therapist with either a master’s degree or DPT
  • Curious-minded conversationalist with great networking and marketing skills
  • Skilled at generating and shaping ideas, content, learning opportunities.
  • Solid understanding of current trends and advances in healthcare
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills—as well as a creative, flexible, and fun disposition
  • Proven ability to develop and manage projects, including successful training programs.
  • Good on-camera presence
  • Advanced writing skills, with a passion for storytelling
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Flexibility to be both self-motivated and excel in a team environment.
  • A keen entrepreneurial drive: a willingness to take risks and be creative
  • Excellent problem-solving skills in a challenging and fast paced environment

What you will be doing: (responsibilities)

PESI is seeking a psychologist, mental health counselor or social worker who is passionate about engaging with other psychotherapists via social media. The ideal candidate loves to inspire, is deeply curious, and feels energized by connecting with others and collaborating with a vibrant community of mental health professionals. If you have social media experience and want to discuss important topics and leading issues in the field, as well as creatively share continuing education opportunities, this job is for you!

  • Lead and work alongside a social media team.
  • Further our mission of connecting knowledge with need on our social platforms through uplifting and thought-provoking posts, sharing our speaker and author experiences, promoting special offers and new products, and discussing psychotherapy news, important topics and leading issues.
  • Set up and optimize social content for both organic and paid efforts on Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, X.
  • Collaborate with respected experts in the field, internal and external partners.
  • Engage with readers and experiment with new forms of storytelling and voice.
  • Monitor content effectiveness. Use analytics and data to make content decisions.
What you bring to the team: (skills and requirements)
  • Degree in psychology or behavioral health related-field; clinical experience is a Plus
  • 2-3 years of professional social media experience (organic and/or paid) in the behavioral health area
  • Creative, passionate and ambitious, full of positivity and empathy, expressive and outgoing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage production schedules while meeting deadlines
  • Motivated to test different social strategies and learn new technologies
  • Excellent problem solving skills in a fast-paced environment

This position is full time, 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday). Our headquarters are in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, with employees both nationally and internationally.
