    Plan Ahead

    Sunday, March 30, 2008

Plan your day before going to bed.  Do you have a major personal or professional decision to make or are you confused about how to get everything done?  Plan your day the night before and while you sleep your subconscious mind will go to work on solving the problem.  You may wake up with new insights or creative ideas for how to approach the dilemma.  Sleep increases your insight and creative thinking.

Now here’s how to put it to work.  At night when you go to bed write down a plan with the steps you will need to take to accomplish your goal.  If your problem is especially large, make it your goal that you will write out ten possible solutions to this problem or ten ways in which you can make this thing happen.  Make sure that you write out ten solutions; they don’t have to be something that you want to do, they can be impractical things, but write out ten, that’s ten possibilities that you can use to be able to solve this problem.

Now, when you go to bed your creative mind and your subconscious mind are going to go to work on trying to figure out the best way to resolve your problem; and when you wake up in the morning I think you’ll find that you have more insight and more creativity as to how to solve this problem.

    Best wishes,
